After graduating, he gained valuable experience as a Management Accountant at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG), overseeing the financial operations of two major hotels, Intercon and Holiday Inn. Driven by a desire to broaden his professional horizons, Jay pursued his Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification while exploring diverse industries, including the dynamic realm of Oil & Gas. The 13 years of professional experience in Australia shaped Jay’s understanding of the challenges faced by SMEs and inspired him to set foot on a transformative entrepreneurial journey.
The turning point for Jay came during the most tumultuous period of the COVID-19 pandemic when he and his business partner, Ezekiel, witnessed the hardships faced by their friends and colleagues in raising loans from the market and navigating the financial turmoil caused by the global crisis. Recognizing a glaring gap in the market, Jay and Ezekiel realized that existing financial reporting practices failed to provide SMEs with the relevant insights needed to make informed decisions.
