Chloe Le, FOUNDER OF MENTORME AND CEO OF SEEDSOFT
Success in entrepreneurship can feel like carrying fire through the rain. Yet, when ventures are built from lived experience, the headwinds are stronger—but so is the determination to turn challenges into lasting impact.
For Chloe Le, the Founder of MentorMe and CEO of MentorMe and SEEDSoft, entrepreneurship was never a calculated career path; it was born out of life’s gap. A mother of four, Chloe Le had to navigate much of her parenting journey alone while navigating the challenges of higher education and working abroad. At this critical juncture in life, what she desperately sought was guidance, a mentor, and a roadmap. But none ever arrived.“There were no maps, no shortcuts—only trial, error, and the quiet strength to keep going,” Chloe reminisces.
Ambition pursued in isolation often brings in moments of desperation. For Chloe, those solitary struggles became the training ground for resilience. And it was in that space she discovered her deeper calling: to provide the very guidance that she once searched for but never found. This forged her determination to build MentorME. More than a mentorship platform, it became a promise —an assurance that “no one should ever have to walk their career path in isolation. Not the international student, not the underestimated underdog, and not the version of me who once felt invisible and unsupported,” asserts Chloe.
MentorME: Mission and Vision
Launched in 2020 in Sydney, MentorME reflects Chloe’s lived experiences of studying and working abroad. She understood what it meant to stand at the crossroads of different cultures; capable yet unseen. This awareness became the cornerstone of the company’s mission: bridging academic, cultural, and emotional gaps for students and professionals navigating new terrains. The platform addresses a challenge faced by over 600,000 international students who come to Australia annually—a majority of whom cite cultural adjustment and lack of professional guidance as their biggest hurdles.
Turning chaos into clarity, MentorME today serves as both a mirror and a hand. It’s a mirror that allows individuals to see themselves clearly, and a hand that ensures they never rise alone. Its unique emphasis on contextual mentorship—guidance rooted in lived experience rather than theory—sets it apart in the global edtech landscape.
“At its core…our mission is not just about career advice, but about building bridges—between cultures, between people, and between who someone is today and who they are becoming,” assures Chloe.
Today, MentorME operates on three pillars: a partnership team that collaborates with universities and organizations; a global network of vetted mentors; and an integrated technology backbone, developed in synergy with Chloe’s second venture, SEEDSoft.
SEEDSoft: Building Technology That Feels Human
Alongside MentorME, Chloe is also the CEO of SEEDSoft, a technology company with a distinctly human-centered philosophy. Here, her approach to leadership transcends conventional business metrics. “As CEO of SEEDSoft and MentorME, my entrepreneurial vision has always been anchored in the belief that businesses should not only grow but also nurture people,” she explains.
This ethos is evident in how SEEDSoft develops technology, keeping core human purposes in perspective. Their solutions are designed not to empower people with tools but to uplift the entire community with “courage, clarity, and compassion.” By connecting SEEDSoft’s capabilities with MentorME’s mission, Chloe has created an ecosystem where mentorship drives technology and growth is assured through the transformation of the people they serve.
Hard Choices, Hard Lessons
Like many founders, Chloe faced the classic tension between vision and reality. She candidly acknowledges, “As a founder, you often carry big dreams, but you also face financial constraints, team dynamics, and the inevitable uncertainty of markets.”
In her early days, Chloe was consumed by self-doubt and insecurity, constantly questioning her abilities. What helped her persist was grounding herself in purpose. “Instead of chasing every opportunity, I returned to asking: Does this decision serve the long-term vision? Does it honor the people we’re here to impact?”
Surrounding herself with mentors and peers who understood the entrepreneurial journey proved rewarding for her. Over time, she reframed challenges not as obstacles but as fuel and from there emerged one of her rarest insights: “Challenges don’t disappear—you just grow a stronger capacity to hold them, and to transform them into fuel for growth.”
A Distinctive Leadership Style
Chloe’s leadership style is anchored upon two foundational values: Empathy and Vision. For her, leadership is not about directing people, but about entrusting them with a shared ownership of the mission. “I lead with empathy, but I also anchor decisions in long-term purpose. For me, leadership isn’t about directing people—it’s about creating an environment where they can see themselves as co-owners of the mission.”
At MentorMe, this philosophy translates into a culture of inclusion, courage, and belonging, where every voice- particularly those historically unheard—finds a unique space. At SEEDSoft, it means embedding empathy into the very fabric of technology. “Across both companies, my leadership has shaped the direction toward something greater than profit: building organizations where innovation and compassion are not opposites, but partners in driving change.”
Rethinking Balance
The dual responsibility of running SEEDSoft and MentorME while raising four children could overwhelm many business leaders. For Chloe, however, it became an exercise in resetting balance, redefining boundaries, and creating harmony across her roles. “I no longer chase the illusion of perfect balance; instead, I focus on creating harmony between my roles as a leader, a mother, and a human being.”
For Chloe, ‘Leadership is not a sprint; it’s a marathon of impact’. She emphasizes that personal well-being is fundamental to sustained leadership. Adequate rest, cherished moments with her children, and the confidence of working with a trustworthy team are, in her view, the most essential factors that keep her motivated, agile, and aligned. These principles allow her to remain effective both as an entrepreneur and a woman beyond the boardroom. As she affirms, “If I burn out, the vision I carry cannot grow.”
Elevating Vietnamese Talent on a Global Stage
Though her companies are headquartered in Australia, Chloe’s long-term vision is global, with a strong focus on Vietnamese talent. She wants both MentorME and SEEDSoft to become global platforms that amplify Vietnamese creativity, resilience, and leadership.
“My long-term vision for MentorME is to become a bridge between talent and opportunity—especially for those who feel unseen in traditional systems.”
Her goal is not only to open doors for individuals but to shift the global narrative. She envisions Vietnamese talent stepping onto the world stage not just as contributors, but as bold innovators and leaders actively reshaping global opportunities.
Advice for the Next Wave of Entrepreneurs
Chloe’s guidance to rising founders is straightforward:
- “Start local, think global. The most impactful ideas are often rooted in your own lived experience—problems you’ve felt, questions you’ve wrestled with, gaps you’ve seen.”
- “Don’t chase impact alone. Find mentors, build communities, and stand on the shoulders of others.”
- “Redefine success. It’s not only numbers—it’s the bridges you build and the courage you inspire in others.”
Lighting the Way Forward
In an era where entrepreneurship is often equated with hyper-growth and valuations, Chloe Le offers a different blueprint. From navigating her career path alone to climbing the position of CEO of two ventures, her journey reflects the creation of an ecosystem where innovation is inseparable from compassion, and mentorship becomes the bridge between dream and destination.
From designing contextual mentorship for international students to humanizing software solutions, Chloe is setting a benchmark for purpose-driven entrepreneurship in the Asia-Pacific region. Her story demonstrates how resilience can evolve into vision, and how vision, when rooted in empathy, can influence both people and markets, transforming them in ways that are both long-lasting and meaningful. For Chloe, the ultimate measure of success remains unchanged: ensuring no one has to navigate their career or ambition alone. As she concludes, “Global impact is not about being everywhere… It’s measured in the lives you change, the bridges you build, and the courage you inspire in others. Lead with that, and the world will open.”
