Capt. Harriko embarked on his aviation journey in 2008, driven by a passion for exploration and adventure. His first professional role as a pilot was with MHS Aviation, where he supported oil and gas operations in the South China Sea for five years (2012–2017).
In 2017, Capt. Harriko began his journey as a tourism pilot in Bali, dedicating two years to honing his expertise before pursuing his entrepreneurial vision.
In April 2019, Capt. Riko founded Fly Bali, combining his love for flying and his passion for Bali and Eastern Indonesia’s breathtaking landscapes.

Harriko recalls the early struggles of securing an Air Operator Certificate (AOC), a process that was both time-consuming and costly. “We faced delays, which affected cash flow and operational timelines,” he shares. But, instead of losing momentum, Capt. Harriko remained steadfast, driven by his vision to transform Bali’s tourism industry through aviation.
During difficult periods, including the global pandemic, Capt. Harriko’s resilience shone through. With the belief that Fly Bali would make a lasting impact, the leader shares, “Having a strong support system, remaining adaptable, and believing that every challenge is temporary has been key to overcoming those obstacles.” This mindset has allowed Harriko to weather the toughest storms and build a thriving enterprise that stands as a testament to his perseverance and adaptability.
